Utilizing Bilingual Social Marketing to Connect with a New Audience

01. Background

Building on their roots in the hospitality industry, Avani Investment Group’s luxury development boasts hotel-like amenities and is situated at the heart of British Columbia’s fastest growing city. This high-density neighbourhood has become a hot spot for high-end development and investment, posing a challenge to Avani’s market share. With over 40% of Surrey residents speaking a language other than English, Avani knew that they needed a bilingual digital campaign to give them an edge over their competition.

We launched Avani’s bilingual digital campaign with a series of Facebook ads, Google ads, media buy placements in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese. By publishing both English and Chinese advertisements on Google and Facebook advertising platforms we were able to coordinate the message effectively alongside our Chinese media placements and WeChat partnership promotions to execute a truly integrated marketing strategy. The result was an outstanding campaign that generated over 4,800 new leads for Avani Centre.
